Steve Jorgensen offers executive coaching and expert consulting to non-profit organizations in the areas of financial management/CFO services, organizational development, and project management. His talent and passion support executives and teams as they accomplish important work in the non-profit community with great integrity, commitment, and results.
Steve brings extensive experience in providing financial management expertise to non-profit organizations. Prior to forming his consulting firm, Steve served as principal and managing director of N. Cheng & Co., a CPA firm solely serving non-profits. During his 12-year tenure, he created innovative and cost-effective approaches to financial management that enabled the rapid growth of the firm.
Along with his financial expertise, he has first-hand experience leading a non-profit organization. Steve lived and breathed the mission, financial demands, needs, and pressures facing non-profits as a co-founder and executive director of Discipleship Outreach Ministries/Turning Point, a multi-service and multi-funded agency in Brooklyn. Under his 20-year leadership, the organization grew to be an important social service provider in southwest Brooklyn.
Separating Steve from other consultants is his unique ability not only to understand the business side of the equation, but also to develop and nurture the strong leaders needed to steward these important organizations. The fruit of Steve’s labors has been strong, growing, financially sound organizations, as well as the development of committed leaders who carry on the work after he leaves.
A graduate of Brooklyn College, The City University of New York, he holds a BA in Psychology and Sociology. Steve is happiest when hanging out with his children and grandson or enjoying a beautiful day on the golf course.

Susan Ryan, Accent Reduction Coach
Susan Ryan coaches foreign-born professionals to communicate in American English with clarity and confidence. Her clients include IT professionals, entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists, doctors, professors, business school graduates, and many others.
Susan helps her clients learn to communicate articulately and professionally as they prepare for job interviews or presentations—or if they simply want to express themselves more effectively in the workplace. Coaching is private and customized to incorporate the industry-specific language that clients use on a daily basis. Sessions are conducted online via Skype or GoToMeeting.
Susan earned a Masters degree in Adult ESL (English as a Second Language) from Hamline University, a teaching degree from San Francisco State University, and a BA from the University of Minnesota. She is an active member of TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) and Toastmasters International.

Aaron Hodge Silver, Founder and Principal, Springthistle Tech
Aaron acts as the IT specialist for The McAloon Group and Whole Career Coaching in addition to serving his own clients. He has developed and consulted on websites for hundreds of clients since 1999, with a focus on usability, efficiency, flexibility, clean design, and client happiness. Aaron is an expert in WordPress; in fact, he literally wrote the book (WordPress Complete, Packt Publishing). Aaron also develops custom web applications using PHP and MySQL and is proficient in many other web development technologies.
Early in his career, Aaron gained experience working for several web companies and startups, including DoubleClick and About.com. Since founding Springthistle in 2004 he has worked with a wide variety of companies, non-profit organizations, and individuals to realize their website dreams. He’s currently collaborating with The McAloon Group on an online coaching system that we’ll be launching soon.
Aaron holds a BA from Columbia University. He is active in the WordPress and Drupal communities and is a member of CoCo, a collaborative working space in the Twin Cities. In his free time, Aaron enjoys cooking, being active outdoors, and spending time with his family (both human and non-human).
